So Rhys did this a few weeks ago on SCAD Radio and I wanted to give it a try.  So er’ we go………….

Robert Carmine (Schwartzman) of Rooney:

I have to start with Robert first.  Why?  Because I honestly believe if I have any actual chance of a relationship with a celebrity it would be him.  I first learned of Robert Carmine while he was Robert Schwartzman (YEP!  Brother of Jason Schwartzman, another crush I have) and he played Michael in the movie “The Princess Diaries.”  Back in the day when I saw Kelly Clarkson in concert (embarrassing, I know) Rooney opened for them, and I could only joke about it because I found their music awful.  So the whole time I was making fun of the show I was having a great time.  Long story short, I love Rooney now, as well as Robert.  That beachy voice, those long brunette bangs that hide his eyes, it all just makes me sh-sh-shakin’…

John Mayer

Hasn’t every girl in their right mind had a crush on John Mayer at some point?  I was a freshman in high school just waiting to be kissed to “Your Body is a Wonderland.”  So he may seem cocky but I can’t deny that his music is sweet sweet music.  He has pretty eyes, and a voice that soothes me to no end.  ”Slow Dancing in a Burning Room” and “Covered in Rain” are some great bluesy examples.  Did I mention that the boy is a god on the guitar???  (And you wonder why I started to play guitar…..)  Thanks Mr. Mayer

Spoon

It’s really hard to explain, but I have a past relationship with these guys……..sort of.  You see, when I dream at night, it’s usually about stuff I think about regularly.  However, back when I was 14 and first learned of Spoon because of the hit tv show The OC, I didn’t become a huge fan, but I started to dream about the band.  A lot.  And a few times a year since, I still do.  Why?  I’m not sure.  I love the band, but I’m not an obsessed fan, however someone is trying to tell me I have a connection with these guys.  Their oh-so-vintage lifestlye, cute jackets, and music filled with horns. Too cute.

Jon Por Birgisson of Sigur Ros

Instant love?  His voice.  Sigur Ros has to be THE MOST AMAZING band on the planet in my mind as of now.  Jon Por (Jonsi for short) is the most adorable thing I’ve ever seen.  I recently saw Sigur Ros in concert a few days ago, and with his Icelandic accent, trying to talk English, it just came out as a quiet 4 year old’s voice.  My heart melted on the spot, for him and the music.  After some research I found out not only is he blind in his right eye, but he is gay as well.  (Totally awesome, but there’s not chance for me then.  Sadness)  Jonsi, although we can never make cute Icelandic babies, I still find you adorable.  Oh and BTW, your sweaters rock.  

Sondre Lerche

Sondre.  Sonnnnnnnnndre.  Sondre.  Sondre.  This cute folk/pop/blues singer from Norway pronounces his name Saun-dray Lhere-K.  Makes since?  Just look at his video for “Phantom Punch” and you’ll develop a crush too, he’s that cute.  And he’s married, but who isn’t?  My heart just soars when I hear his music and I instantly start hopping up & down.  I really can’t find the words for how cute this boy is…….

Flight of the Conchords (Bret McKenzie & Jermaine Clement)

They’ve done it.  Their antics and plans worked and these comedy duo has gotten me to swoon over their charm.  But come on, “Ladies of the World?”  How can you NOT love that.  These guys are just 2 funny aussie’s that sing about humping, David Bowie, and sandwiches.  Do I need to explain more?  I think not….

Wayne Coyne of The Flaming Lips

Is it weird to say I think out of all of these guys on my list, I’m most sexually attracted to Wayne Coyne?  That doesn’t mean I love him the most (No that goes to the next guy on my list) But there’s SOMETHING about Wayne that I just find COMPLETELY hot.  And I have no idea what it is!  I mean the guys hair is graying and he pours blood all over him at his concerts, and walks out of space ships!!!!!!!  Like this guy is totally weird.  And I freakin love it.  ALL men need to have his wardrobe.  1 word.  Vests.  That’s all a man will ever need, and Wayne Coyne understands that.  And he has cute hair too!  Curly and long and a cute little beard!!!!!!  Did I mention that his band, The Flaming Lips, has this cool, spacey-vibe thing going on?  Listen to “Do You Realize.”

Damien Rice

I saved the best for last.  Meet Damien Rice.  He’s Irish.  He sings “Fuck You” and somehow still sweeps my heart away every time.  Damien Rice was signed to a record label, and finally when he was put up with the label’s he said “Fuck You” and recorded his first album “0″ in his basement over the course of 4 years.  This is my favourite album of all time.  Beautiful lyrics, strings, tears, and love-notes.  Damien is mostly angry in his songs from failed relationships, and maybe he’s like the average Irish drunk, but I’d still give him a try.  ”O” makes my life make sense, and want to fall in love every second.  Damien Rice is just the boy next door, and maybe I’m just the girl……
