If only you could sit where I’m sitting right now. It’s a small, dark, french cottage. A window is open behind the computer and I can see for hundreds of miles of the French countryside, including mountains, valleys, lavender fields, and wine vinyards.
It’s true, I’ve neglected this blog so far. Why is that? Well, school is really time consuming here. Actually that’s kind of a lie. I have a lot of time here, but the last thing you want to do is spend it in a dark computer lab.

Within the past 5ish weeks, I’ve jumped off a cliff, seen the hillsides of Ireland, gone to the top of the Eiffel Tower, Rowed a boat in Marie Antoinettes pond, walked 12 miles to see a house a movie was filmed at, figured out french directions, and oui, flirted with french boys.

Studying abroad was the best thing I’ve ever done in my life. I’ve discovered so much about myself.
And I only have 3 weeks in France left. Then 2 in London and Scotland and then back to Savy. Bittersweet? Yes. But I’m both extremely sad and excitied to go back. For the first time I have my own apartment to move into. Moving away from home and going to school was like my first big step, but even then I lived in the dorms, went to class, and worked for the school. Now I will finally have a seperation of home life. By myself. For the first time. And that’s what i’m excited about. (Plus the Ikea shopping)

I’ve met cool people here, gone to amazing places, and really realized that I need to make myself happy. It’s not cocky of me that I want to be happy. France makes me happy. Europe makes me happy. Europe is AMAZING. Ireland blew my mind, I love it!

I want to move into my apartment, and learn how to cook, and get an AWESOME internship in NYC next summer, and graduate college, and learn music. And be wonderful all around. France makes me motavated in a lot of areas where I lack it at home. And I’m not giving it back. I’m taking the motivation with me.

France, j’amie. Merci beaucoup.

Hi Lindsay!
I find your post very inspiring!
I hope you won’t be mad if I use your beautiful photo of southern France (the second one) to my blog?
I just love this film and France as much as yo do, and your photo seems to be perfect! I just think it’s better to ask.
Take care ;)
