Every year, around Mid-March, I see seniors at school begin to act differently. I wouldn’t call it a freak out, or break down, or overly happy or sad. There’s something different in their eyes. In the way they move. They speak. It’s like they are looking at the ocean, at something that’s so vast, and unknown, and uncertain, yet with so many different ways to swim. The question is, what style do you swim? Do you go at high tide or low tide? Day or Night? Is it a solo attempt or group effort? And lastly, where do you end up? Washed back up on the same shore, the other side of the lake, or maybe you find Atlantis underwater.
I feel like I’ve been sinking and swimming my whole life. And maybe in a year, when I too am here, it will be differently, and I will be much more scared than I think I will. But as of now, I have to say, regardless of the weather, I’m going sailing either way. And I don’t need to know when, or how, or why, or where. All I know is that I will eventually reach my destination, and it’s going to be as sweet as heaven.
So, if you maybe find yourself in this situation, throw the options that come into play aside, raise your sail, and set for the horizon.
In other news, I use to be orderly disorganized. And It never bothered me. Once I moved into my new place here in Savannah, I kept my room clean, because I knew once it went, it went. I started to notice a change however. I LOVE living in clean surroundings. It just feels like less stress. So today I cleaned my space, took care of myself, I set a ladybug free yesterday, I finished my first fully composed piece of music, and my nails are purple. Life is nice.
I saw Watchmen this weekend. Surprisingly I liked it a lot. Patrick Wilson as Dan is SO CUTE!!!! I want a man like that. Simple Dan, yet he’s secretly a superhero, and when you take the glasses and plaid shirt off, he’s sexy as hell. Yes please.
Anywho. I hope all is well with you, whoever you are.
XoXo,
Lindsay

I know the “Mid-March” feeling, I was there once…last year! But now I’ve been through a lot in terms of career stuff, I gotta say I kinda miss school now. Hope things are well with you:)
