it’s that time of year again. living by myself if pretty awesome a lot but when it comes to holiday festivities, not so much….
i still tried to have fun regardless. so yesterday i did my halloween pumpkins. on the first one, i’ve thought all week about what i wanted to paint (i did an ugly betty pumpkin last year, picture below, so it was hard to top that one) so i thought perhaps andy warhol, and then i came across andy’s liza minelli and knew that’s what i had to do. (sherra and i were fortunate enough to see liza’s show in new york last year and it was like the happiest, best train wreck to ever watch.)
i’ve never been much of a carver either, but with all of this free time i thought i’d give it a go. the letters were a bit frustrating, plus amadeus kept trying to eat the pumpkin insides, but overall it went okay.
yesterday i had lunch with my old roommate katia, it was really nice. i’ve been kind of in a “social bubble” the past year, so it’s good to be reminded that i still know amazingly awesome people i don’t see much, and they are willing to still have lunch with me.
this is an old photo of us freshman year:

our mothers made us pack poncho’s to college, so we decided to have fun with them.
and then just for giggles, look at this train wreck!!!!!
♥♥♥♥♥ it!!!!!
well, enough of that. have a wonderful sunday, i love them the more i have them. sunday’s are quite lovely and low key (but they also are on a fine line of depressing, so i’m trying to stay on the optimistic side.)
here’s my ugly betty pumpkin last year, with sherra’s marie antoinette pumpkin. and below that are my pumpkins this year before they were turned into art.

xoxo,
lindsay
