dear husband-to-be,
i can’t wait for the day you ask me to be with you for the rest of our lives. i hope you ask uniquely, and creatively, and then we’ll smile for the rest of the night.
i hope our wedding song will be upbeat, like the clash, and everyone can dance and have the time of their lives in that very moment.
i look forward to waking up, and attempting to make breakfast. although we might fail miserably, it will be perfect in every single way.
i can’t wait to walk with you in the city streets at night, after a tiny dinner, and listen to the sound of our footsteps.
i hope you’ll dance and sing and play along with me at home, whenever i please.
i will walk 100 miles with you if our car runs out of gas, and laugh about it instead of complain.
i will bring you soup and crackers when you don’t feel well.
and i will send random letters to your work office, just to brighten your day.
i hope you’ll wake up with me, at 3 am, to drive to the middle of nowhere and gaze at the stars.
i look forward to sitting on a park bench with you, and creating stories about the random strangers around us.
and even if you prefer clean-shaven over a beard, i think i can be okay with that (i think)
so meet me soon, please.
xoxo.lindsay
