after 23 years, i’ve finally gotten around to watching an affair to remember, which completely took my breath away (especially after watching it on the big screen in a 90 year old theater.) and mr. grant! oh my! what a dreamboat.

anywho. if anyone has seen it, then you’ll know why i posted the picture above. can we just say one of the most magical scenes i’ve ever seen in a film? oh goodness. i need to watch this again and very very soon. if you haven’t seen the film, then please please please find a way to do so. ♥

the colours. the cut. the textured background. the pearl. the lady.

audrey is so lovely and has to inspire every women in some small (or large) way. i really adored the audrey layout in this month’s matchbook magazine (which is more than smashing, btw!)

yes, i believe an audrey lifestyle would be more than fitting, no?

after last weeks viewing of hitchcock’s north by northwest, i can’t seem to get eva marie saint’s wardrobe out of my head. the boatneck, a-line dresses. the classic fit. the clean lines. hitchcock was brilliant when he dressed his leading ladies because he makes them sexy by showing a little bit of shoulder, or a little bit of the back, but keeps it mysterious with the quarter sleeve or the longer dress hem.

every piece is tailored, classic, feminine and simply stunning. not to mention that the film is great and cary grant is such a dreamboat!

her velvet-y, silk floral dress was by far my favourite…

i find the v-neck back to be smashing!!!

if you haven’t seen the film, then i very much suggest it.

i think nothing expresses spring better than pastels and a modern 60′s vibe. i really adore this matt irwin spread in the february elle issue. the satin pinks, the white framed glasses, the overblown lighting… *sigh*

i think it’s official to say that my top most looking forward too films of 2012 are moonrise kingdom, the hunger games, and titanic rereleased.

anderson can’t get more anderson than the muted 60′s colour palette, retro french tunes, and bill murray. of course. can not wait!

it’s been a bit quiet here on my end hasn’t it? too say i haven’t been completely engrossed in the hunger games trilogy would be a lie (addicted over here.) there’s also been a lot of writing and bucket list viewings. though limiting my time on the internet has taken a bit of a hit on the ole’ blog here, it’s really good for me. (how did i spend so much time on it before?!?! it was pretty much draining me without even realizing it!)

this very lovely clemence posey photo shoot for glamour uk has been circling the circuit and i can certainly see why. i adore the play, the colours, the girly-ness. *sigh* magic magic.

ummmm, okay. i need to acquire every single outfit here. more photos over at the terrier and lobster.
